I’m a poet and author that was born in 1984. I’m married to a lovely industrious woman and have two daughters. I write for a newspaper for my day job. Poetry is my first love, but I also write contemporary literary fiction about the melancholy of life and relationships. My favorite writers are Mary Oliver, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Raymond Carver, James Salter, John Cheever, Leo Tolstoy, Truman Capote, and Ernest Hemingway.
I write the first drafts of all my work by hand, and then I write following drafts on my vintage 1950 Smith-Corona typewriter. I’m forced to begrudgingly write my final drafts on my computer so that I can easily send my work to my editor and publisher.
I adore reading and writing (obviously), but I’m also a painter. I sell my paintings through my own online store. In addition, I love taking beautiful photographs, visiting New England, collecting vintage buttons, listening to music, making and drinking cocktails, and smoking tobacco pipes.
I’ve lived all over the world, and I’m a U.S. Army Veteran.
